(Atlanta, Georgia) “A few minutes after that farkakte (lousy) debate ended, President Biden dropped by an Atlanta watch party and Jill Biden took the stage to introduce her husband to the crowd. “Four more years!” the first lady chanted, clapping encouragingly for the 81-year-old man who had recently looked as though he might not last four more minutes.” ~ Monica Hesse, The Washington Post.
I did not watch the debate last night. For three reasons:
I didn’t want to.
I didn’t have to.
I didn’t need to.
Politics is a blood sport. It’s rough and tumble, not to be meant for the faint of heart. Or as the brilliant military theorist Carl von Clausewitz so adeptly put it, “Politics is war by other means.” So when I reluctantly queried various news outlets earlier today to get a flavor for what transpired on the CNN debate stage I was quick to draw a Civil War analogy incorporating the Battle of Gettysburg and its Day 3 Confederate Disaster known as “Pickett’s Charge”.
(Author’s Note:) American Civil War historians the world over have yet to understand or adequately explain Robert E. Lee’s decision on July 3rd, 1863 which sent 15,000 Confederate troops across open terrain, in broad daylight, and directly into the teeth of the Union Army’s most fortified defensive positions along Cemetery Ridge where of course they were summarily slaughtered.
Anyone who’s been paying attention knows President Joe Biden lost his fastball a long time ago. I strongly recommend watching internet clips featuring Senator Biden in his prime, especially his early years of the 1970s and 1980s to see the stark difference for yourself. The man had no equal (at least until Bill Clinton arrived center stage) when it came to the gift of gab, political discourse, rhetoric, dialogue, verbal volleyball, or just plain long-winded speechifying that could fracture a filibuster.
None of it though translated into Joe Biden’s being right about anything, and as a matter of fact, Biden broke almost everything he ever touched since the day he became Delaware’s junior senator way back in 1972. But that’s not the point of this article nor does it make any sense or provide answers for the decision to put a frail and undoubtably senile Joe Biden on national television and in a debate setting no less.
It was like Pickett’s Charge all over again, except this time it was only one guy getting blown to smithereens instead of 15,000, but everyone knew it was gonna happen. Now the question is why. Why on God’s green earth would anyone (I’m looking directly at you Dr. Jill) allow a sitting U.S. president to be humiliated in real time for the whole world to see?
Well, I have a guess. A hunch if you will.
I still think Dr. Jill Biden is “the X factor” for whatever plan is in place when Joe “has to go”.
Evidently Dr. Jill has a formidable inner circle of her own (led by Anthony Bernal who by all accounts is a ruthless SOB), and although she publicly comes across as harmless enough, I assess her decades long familiarity with Washington DC makes her more Machiavellian than people realize.
Her physical presence at Hunter’s recent gun trial which included trans Atlantic flights is a likely indicator something else is happening “behind the scenes”.
(Author’s Note:) This is pure speculation on my part but I don’t think the jury decided Hunter was guilty without some sort of “last minute outside influence”.
In fact it looks more like Hunter had to take one for the team giving the Deep State/DOJ a way to demonstrate “no one is above the law “ on the heels of Trump’s New York City BS conviction.
I also think the Biden Clan (minus Jill) was caught off guard by the verdict (she wasn’t in the courtroom when the verdicts were announced interestingly enough) leading me to believe Jill isn’t at all saddened by the “outcome”.
Why? For starters, Jill isn’t Hunter’s biological mother and Hunter’s own texts reveal there is no love lost between them. However, a guilty verdict allows for a YUGE opportunity to show the country Biden family unity and support for first son Hunter (led by Jill) all the way to the DNC convention.
Remember the public approval boost Hillary got for being the “wronged woman” after Bill admitted to his inappropriate behavior in the Monica Lewinsky affair?
If I’m right about a potential “battle hand off” from Joe to Jill we’ll see more of her and hear more from her in the next few weeks than we have during Joe’s entire presidency. Besides, Democrats have a successful track record for inserting the wife/widow into their husband’s political office when circumstances warrant.
So stay tuned and don’t touch that dial because it’s about to get wild. Last night’s debate in Atlanta was only the first of many dominoes to fall.
We don’t need no stinking “cheap fakes” either KJP. Dadgummit.
